Synopsis for "The Bat & The Cat, Chapter 1: Silent Night"
In the past, Alfred walks in on Bruce sleeping with Selina. Later, Batman and Catwoman are making out on the rooftops, as he tries to leave because the Joker had just broken out again, but finds himself unable to immediately break free. Catwoman breaks into the house of Jimmy the Lion, when she finds the Joker already there, having killed him because he was tired of waiting for her. The two trade verbal jabs toward each other, with Joker pointing out how she's both a villain and together with Batman, so isn't one to judge what does and doesn't work. As the sun rises, after Joker asks, Selina tells him she knows who Batman is, but won't kill him. Before she's about to leave to get back to him, Joker tells her it isn't who she is, and that she's “fun.” Selina sly approaches Bruce in bed, with him noting that he had just installed a new security system and all the alarms should be going off now.
In the present, Bruce is visited by Andrea Beaumont, who compliments Alfred's work on the house, leading Bruce to tell her that he recently passed away. Batman later informs Catwoman that Andrea told him about her 14 year old son who recently ran away. Selina thought she had previously died in a fire with the Joker, which Batman surmises since he survived, she apparently did too, and had been in hiding afraid of the Joker this whole time. He asks Catwoman for any leads on where to find a lost boy. The two go to see Sewer King, and Catwoman asks for information on Andrew Beaumont. Sewer King sends his crocodiles to fight them, berating Catwoman for turning on him when he took her in initially. With the information they beat out of him, Catwoman interrogates a kid he pointed her towards, who tells her that he's been waiting under Wayne Bridge regarding information about “his dad.” Batman and Catwoman soon find Andrew dead and Joker-ized. Bruce tells Andrea he was looking for his dad, which she says he's dead. Andrea visits the grave of her mother, pulling out her Phantasm costume, returning home to contemplate her next move.
In the future, Selina drives to a motel on Seabird Island, meeting an old acquaintance. Selina notices pictures of the man's grandkids, leading him to talk about how his kids have been doing, and asking her how Helena's been. She mentions how she's currently dating a female doctor, but unsure if it'll work out like some of the others. They talk about even with their profession always being out at night, they feel they did alright. She informs the man of Bruce's recent death, causing him to start to grieve. The two of them hug each other as the man laments what will they do now that Batman's dead, while Selina says now that he's gone, she can finally kill him for what he did to Andrea. The man takes off his glasses, and hair, revealing himself to be the Joker, laughing manically.
