Synopsis for "The Bat & The Cat, Chapter 4: Hark! The Herald Angels Sing"

In the past, Bruce is about to take Selina out to a fancy party, when she guilt-riddenly reveals that The Joker put a bomb under the Gotham ice rink, and will explode in 20 minutes, “if he's telling the truth.” Bruce heads off, telling her to tell Alfred to cover for him. The ice rink is evacuated and the bomb is recovered, with Batman grabbing it finding it seemingly stuck at 4 seconds. Later on the rooftops, Batman confronts Catwoman, asking her where the Joker is, but she simply insults him, saying that if he wants to know he can beat it and threaten it out of her like he does with all his other lovers, leaving him alone.

In the present, Selina wakes up in the lair of the Phantasm, as she watches videos of her son on several TVs, before telling Selina she's her hostage to trade for the Joker. She talks about how Bruce always can't accept when things don't go his way, and when Selina tries to say he's safely locked up with him, she responds back that he always finds a way to escape, adding that Bruce thinks he helps, but all he does is forgive, something Selina should know best.

In the future, Batwoman goes to see The Penguin, beating up his goons, before asking him to tell her all he knows about Catwoman and The Joker. She proceeds to interview Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Ventriloquist, Victor Zsasz, Clayface, and Nora Fries, who all mention how the two of them had a particularly intriguing relationship. Selina confronts Penguin afterwards, asking what he told Batwoman about them, siccing her cat on his penguin, killing it as she declares to him this was always her city.
