Synopsis for "Truth Hurts, Part Two"
A de-powered Superman strikes an uneasy alliance with Gotham's current protector, James Gordon in bat-armor, to find out why Wayne-tech weapons are being stolen and smuggled into cities like Metropolis. After questioning Lucius Fox, he informs the pair that a group called Dawn Command has been raiding experimental energy facilities and stealing tech. Fox is even in the middle of relocating a miniature sun away from populated areas before the thieves can tunnel underground and take it. Too late, it seems, because several dragon-like creatures erupt from underground led by Ukur, Beastlord of Subterranea. Ukur blames Superman for taking his people's light orbs and casting them all into darkness. Superman, on the other hand, reminds him that the orbs were powered by human souls and he did what he had to do. Ukur is intent on stealing the artificial sun and bring light back to his world but Superman tries to convince him that it is unstable and could kill his people and destroy the kingdom. Better they try to find a solution together. Ukur is listening, but before he can decide, Gordon as Batman attacks, driving Ukur and his monsters back underground. Ukur leaves vowing revenge on the surface world. The last we see of Superman he is following Ukur into the pit, hoping to find a way to save the people of Subterranea.
