Synopsis for "Claws of the Cat-Woman, Part 1 of 4"
Bruce Wayne arrives at an event where the natural history Museum is christening the opening of a wing dedicated to Martha and Thomas Wayne. He meets Vicki Vail on the way into the museum, and she is persistently trying to arrange time with him. In the museum, Bruce meets Finnegan Dent, who gives him an ancient knife artifact to cut the ribbon and open the display, and shortly after meets Lord Greystoke as well. Bruce Wayne and Lord Greystoke exchange some history of their youth, and how they both lost their parents, and to Bruce Wayne’s surprise that Lord Greystoke was raised by apes. Shortly after they depart a cat woman figure, with metal claws steals objects in the museum and is pursued by Batman. Lord Greystoke perceives this from his balcony and changes his attire and confronts Batman as he has captured the cat woman. Tarzan recognizes Batman‘s identity by his scent. A verbal exchange between Tarzan and Batman occurs, but may have been in ear shot of the cat person.
The cat woman states she is a priestess of Sakhmet, the princess Khefretari of hidden Memnon, though educated in the outside world, and is not a thief, but reclaiming what was rightfully her peoples’. Batman relates to the princess that he will discuss this with Bruce Wayne. Tarzan suggests an alliance to help Batman get these artifacts back to Africa, and, of course, Batman is reluctant. They both then realize they are not alone, and Batman‘s cape stops in an arrow that may have harmed Tarzan. To be continued…
