Synopsis for "Chapter Three"
Alfred tries to send Nyssa away, but when she reveals she is here to talk to Batman about Ra's al Ghul, he allows her inside. She warns Bruce against making a deal with Ra's. She says she is an enemy of Ra's and she also wants to stop him. She does not tell Bruce so, but in 1809, they had been working together for twenty years, and Ra's wished her to bear his heir; however, displeased with his methods, she chose to leave him and return to Russia.
Batman tracks down Ra's to ask him who Nyssa is, but he refuses to answer in detail and only cares whether the deal regarding the Lazarus Pit will go forward, which Batman is not inclined to let happen after he tested the potion and could not confirm its abilities. Alfred discovers evidence that someone has broken into the Batcave.
Nyssa abducts Talia from her apartment with help from her servant Misha. Talia wakes in Nyssa's fortress, on a walkway above her Lazarus Pit, and Nyssa goes to stab her.
