Synopsis for "Chapter Seven"

Now awake, Bruce muses on his hallucination to Alfred. He admits that the experience mattered to him, and when Alfred asks him if he would have given up Batman if his parents had asked, he says he would. Alfred calls out his lie. He believes Bruce has built his entire life around Batman and at this point the catalyst doesn't matter. Alfred shows Bruce the evidence from the second break-in, and when Bruce realizes what was stolen, he rushes off to confront Ra's al Ghul.

Ra's refuses to tell him anything unless Batman honors their deal and gives him the location of a Lazarus Pit. Batman then demands to know where he took the Kryptonite he stole from the Batcave, but Ra's denies it and suggests Nyssa took it instead. He speculates that she means to shatter humanity's apathy and cure her own by killing the symbol of their hope.

In Metropolis, Batman finds Misha setting up his rifle with the kryptonite bullet, but Nyssa isn't there. She is on a boat with Talia. Nyssa assures Talia that what they are doing is for their father's own good, while Ra's sinks into the last Lazarus Pit and begins to scream.
