Batman: Gotham Adventures #14 is an issue of the series Batman: Gotham Adventures (Volume 1) with a cover date of July, 1999.

Synopsis for "Masks of Love: A Harley Quinn Romance"

Robin is out practicing with Batgirl and Batman, when they see the Bat-Signal. However, the shape of the bat keeps changing, and when they arrive at GCPD Headquarters, they find Harley Quinn messing with the signal. Harley uses her mallet to escape, leaving the trio to return to the Batcave.

There, Batgirl suspects that Harley is committing crimes to attract publicity for her novel, which got poor reviews. The three find that Harley is acting out scenes in her novel, and predict where she will strike next.

At the Peregrinator's Club, Robin and Batgirl confront Harley, but she uses a special perfume from Poison Ivy that allows her to mind-control them. She orders them to attack Batman, while she loads TNT onto the roof and leaves in a hot air balloon. However, Batman throws a Batarang at it, deflating Harley's plans.

Back in Arkham Asylum, the Joker rants about Harley's book, but is exposed to her perfume, leading him to listen to Harley's plan to take over Gotham City.
