Synopsis for "Spoiler Space"
Felix Desidero continues his investigation into Bruce Wayne, which he discusses with his wife.
Spoiler spies on a meeting between Batman and Commissioner Akins, in which Batman tells the commissioner about a Kobra extremist's threat to set off a fission bomb powered by "promethium" stolen from S.T.A.R. Labs. Batman tells Spoiler to go home, but she confronts him about how he came to her for help, only to lock her out of the Batcave without explanation. She demands the benefit of the doubt.
Batman tells Spoiler she has two hours to solve the case. She interrogates the Penguin at the Iceberg Lounge and a Kobra member named Alex, both of whom allude to the fact that this isn't the first time they've seen Batman that night. She arrives at Ajan Industries in time, but Kalkin was never there and Batman encourages Spoiler to look back on all the mistakes she made.
Batman had solved the case before she even started investigating and sent Metamorpho to Kalkin's real location, and he has been arrested. Spoiler is devastated. Batman expresses his sympathies for the recent death of her father, and she tells him to go to Hell. Batman returns to the Batcave and tells Alfred Pennyworth he's fired Stephanie from the team. Alfred calls Robin, who goes to Steph's house to comfort her.
Checkmate discusses Kobra and their ongoing "vigilante op." David Said confronts a member named Connie about the leak...

Synopsis for "Fear Is the Key"
Scarecrow's Fear Toxin has combined with an experimental hallucinogen he stole from S.T.A.R. Labs, and he now sees himself as a medieval sorcerer leading an army of Igors against a demon summoned from Hell. Batman tries to reason with him. Scarecrow comes to his senses and returns to Arkham Asylum, where he tells Two-Face and Mad Hatter that Batman must have taken as large a dose as them all but it was like he didn't even notice.
