Batman: Gotham Knights #47 is an issue of the series Batman: Gotham Knights (Volume 1) with a cover date of January, 2004. It was published on November 19, 2003.

Synopsis for "King of the Mountain"

Bane collapses on his way up Kanchenjunga, muttering Leslie Thompkins's name. Alfred Pennyworth receives an alert that his signal has gone offline and passes along the news to Batman and Robin. They convene in the Batcave with Leslie and Nightwing.

Leslie doesn't regret telling Bane the names of every Western man on Santa Prisca at the time of his conception, and she calls out Bruce for demanding Bane prove himself reformed before he would give him the names. Alfred reveals to Dick and Tim that Bruce has been financially backing Bane's efforts.

When Leslie names Sir Edmund Dorrance as one of Bane's potential fathers, Tim tells them that the Kobra base built near the Lazarus Pit on Kanchenjunga was wiped away--and Dorrance with it. He doesn't believe Bane will find anything on the mountain except old Kobra technology, but Bane finishes the climb and breaks into the former base where he finds the starving Dorrance, whom he greets as "Father."
