Synopsis for "Reunion"

Many years ago, Ma Gunn discovered that someone had loaded blanks into the rifles and asked the children she was training, to tell her the identity of the perpetrator otherwise they'll all be shot with rock salt. Before Jason could admit he was behind it, Numbers took the blame and was shot by Ma Gunn who stated that he could've just blamed someone else. Jason eventually found a better life, but Numbers got hooked up with criminal bosses and later military operatives. After discovering evidence of murders by a senator, he became a target for assassination and went into hiding.

In the present time, Jason has come to protect Numbers from being killed by Jonathan Drew, who goes by the alias Codename: Assassin. As a train screeches past, Drew hangs down from a track to take a shot, but gets caught in a bolas. Red Hood smashes him through the window. The two engage in a duel and prevent each other's bullets from hitting their mark. Drew catches on to his lie that he still has a bullet left like him and asks why he's trying to stop him from killing Numbers. This causes Jason to remember how after taking the rock salt to protect him, he told him that he had protected him by offering a hand of friendship instead of beating up on him like the other kids.

Jason takes Drew's bullet through his shoulder and knocks him out by throwing his gun at him before he can reload. As Numbers shows up at the same deli he usually goes to in the Narrows, he realizes that his veal has already been paid for by Jason, who had asked the shopkeeper Zesto regarding what he liked.

Synopsis for "One Minute After Midnight"

As Chemo falls from up high, Red Hood thinks that he has been incapacitated. Nightwing however states he jinxed it when their adversary wakes up. Jason however makes a construction elevator fall after shooting one of its ropes, tangling Chemo upside-down in its other ropes. Nightwing tells him that every problem can't be solved with a gun, causing him to later state at at a bar that he's a judgmental person. The two hear about Paul Berwick's scheduled execution which is be to carried out after midnight and regret that he'll be killed without any hard evidence showing he murdered Ann Kelly. They agree to investigate it on their own in order to save time.

At the Titans Tower, Dick discovers that it was Brett Strobach and not Berwick who had been stealing from their company, which the prosecution had used as evidence to have him convicted. Meanwhile at Blackgate prison, Red Hood asks Paul if he really did kill and gets told that it was his wife Sarah who had framed him to able to get her hands on his wealth after growing apart from him due to an affair, adding she's claiming he's innocent to throw any suspicion off herself. Paul tells Jason that only their home in Happy Harbor can have potential evidence and the latter figures out that he's being truthful.

Dick confronts Strobach at his office and stops him from running, but realizes he doesn't have the time to investigate further since Paul is to be executed soon. At Happy Harbor, Jason discovers that one of the walls of Paul's house is shallower than it should be, finding a secret room with Ann's body after destroying it. Taking her body to the Titans Tower, he examines the corpse along with Dick who figures out that the weapon marks on her are same as the one he found hidden in Strobach's office. The two arrest him and Nightwing shows the rod he used in the murder, hidden in a painting's frame. He then states he'll be calling the governor to tell her the truth behind Ann's murder.
