This story is reprinted from Our Fighting Forces Giant #1.

The story narrates a common series of events experienced by Sal Giunta and Batman. As he spots Joker's thugs firing at Gotham police officers, Batman rushes in to rescue them. The heavy gunfire however proves a detriment.

Batman decides to work with the police officers to rescue the wounded cops, throwing smoke bombs while others provide covering fire. He discovers that they have taken Jim Gordon as a hostage and makes them flee with the help of other officers, preventing Jim from bleeding to death.

The scene then flashbacks to Sal rescuing his teammates during a fire exchange and President Obama, who is recounting what he did (in a similar manner to Batman's rescue of the Gotham police officers), awarding him a Medal of Honor at the White House.

Synopsis for "Honor Code"

This story is reprinted from Our Fighting Forces Giant #1.

Years ago, cadet Kate Kane was sent on a special mission to Afghanistan after being suddenly woken up by an officer late in the night, because of her fluency in Pashto and her psychology skills. Her team is unsure about her but do note her impressive physical prowess.

As Kate questions the Pashtun women about the insurgent leader Akbar, one woman mentions pastures on a hill and Kate realizes that the pens and barns there are housing goats to provide food as well as milk to fighters. Her team then heads to the pasture to meet with the people there and question them about Akbar.

The Pashtuns the soldiers met however turn out to be insurgents and start attacking but are all eliminated except Akbar who flees. Kate goes after him and survives an ambush in a cave. The gunfire by Akbar however causes the bats to get scared and swarm him. As he struggles to fend them off, Kate knocks him out and arrests him.
