Synopsis for "A Devil in the City of Angels"

As Mr. Winter and his men left Byron Wyatt to die in Death Valley, the latter was determined to make them pay, but lost consciousness. Byron woke up in a cave next to Alfred Penny, after a nightmare, and believed that his name was actually "Bruce Wayne" and remembered Mr. Winter and a man called the Joker. While Alfred refused to help Byron track down Winter and Napier, the Arkham Studios executive gave Commissioner Price, who was investigating the Gotham Pictures incident, a V.I.P. treatment to the premiere of his latest release. During the premiere, Byron stood on top of the Hollywoodland sign dressed as Batman.

The next morning, in Jack Napier's office, he ordered Winter to frame Byron (whose body was missing from the fire in Death Valley) for the deaths of his crew, moments before the rival film producer (believing himself to be Batman) attacked his men before vowing to come after him and all of his associates. As Batman, Byron spent the following days doing so before being pursued by the police (also nearly colliding with a limousine).

News of Batman was reported by The Los Angeles Times and reached Napier, who still wanted the Batman property. As Erma read the newspaper, Batman visited her and asked for documents relating to Arkham Pictures' attempted takeover of Gotham Pictures and she told him to talk to Rob Davis in Malibu Hills. After Batman left, Erma phoned Rob about him and he planned an attempt to return his former co-star to his old self.

When Batman visited Rob, the latter attempted to remind the former that he was actually actor Byron Wyatt and was unsuccessful, but learned that the killers were "The Joker" and the Winter Mob. Then, Rob dressed up as Robin and declared himself Batman's partner.
