Notes

  • In October of 1994, all of the existing mainstream DC Comics titles released a special "0" issue to coincide with the Zero Hour crossover event. The purpose of the "0" issue was to reveal a previously unknown aspect of the title character's background. DC Titles under the Vertigo imprint were largely unaffected by Zero Hour and thus, no "0" issue specials were published for them.
  • This issue was published between Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #64 and #65.
  • This issue is reprinted in the Batman: Zero Hour trade paperback.
  • This story makes a notable retcon as part of the Zero Hour timeline changes. It had been previously established in Post-Crisis continuity that the existence of Batman was public knowledge. Here, it is shown that Batman is considered an urban legend and the public are not sure of his existence. This change in the status quo lasts until his existence is revealed during the events of War Games.
