Synopsis for "Cold Case, Part 1 of 3: True Crime"
Batman returns from a confrontation with Clayface III to find Alfred reading a newspaper article on an upcoming book that claims the late Thomas Wayne was the "Robinson Park Ripper," a serial killer that killed four women decades ago. Alfred convinces him to investigate the cold case.
By interviewing their surviving relatives and a detective on their case, Batman realizes the four victims were killed for their organs. As Bruce Wayne, he visits the writer Mark Prather at his home and offers to settle the matter without their lawyers, but Prather refuses to show him his research.
He returns later as Batman, but he is too late--Prather has been murdered by an armored assassin.
