Synopsis for "The Misfits, Part 3"

Left to drown in a locked crate inside a warehouse, Bruce Wayne, and Armand Krol try to figure out how to escape. Bruce tries to karate kick the door, but fails, and Gordon remarks that he didn't know Bruce knew karate. Bruce tells the men to empty their pockets for anything sharp or metal, and they use the odds and ends to scrape away the rust on the door and get to the lock. Meanwhile, Robin and Nimrod split up, with Robin going to save Bruce at the docks, and Nimrod tailing the man delivering the ransom money to the villains in exchange for Bruce and the other hostages' lives. Meanwhile, the villains get out of their car and arm themselves with guns, and Killer Moth tells them to shoot any cops they see. Calendar Man is a little put out y the thought of killing someone in cold blood, but goes along with it, and Killer Moth plots to take the money for himself and leave once their plan works. Sarah Essen drops the money off where the villains said to, and they ambush her. Inside the crate, the water completely fills the inside, just as bruce almost breaks the door.

Alfred drives Robin to the docks, and he takes Ace the Bat-Hound, as the dog's sense of smell may be valuable in finding the hostages. Catman's panther attacks Robin, but he easily subdues the animal with a bat rope. Robin runs inside the warehouse, and finds the crate, submerged in water, and he tries to bust it open. Meanwhile, the villains forcefully take the money from Sarah and leave, but Nimrod follows them. Robin frees Bruce and the others from the crate, and Bruce leaves to change into Batman. Elsewhere, the villains divide up the money on a rooftop and prepare to leave, but Nimrod attacks, seeing this as his only opportunity to nail Chancer with the other villains. Catman's sixth-sense warns him of danger, and he pushes Killer Moth out of the way of Nimrod's spike balls. Nimrod uses his suit's invisibility, and drops from his hiding place, landing on top of Chancer and Catman. He grabs the money and starts running, but Killer Moth shoots him in the leg. He prepares to shoot Nimrod in the head, but a batarang knocks the gun from the villain's hand. Batman descends on the villains, and a brawl breaks out on the rooftop. Chancer tries to escape with the money, but Nimrod tackles him off of the roof. Batman trounces the villains, and swings down to the street to see that Nimrod and Chancer crashed through an awning and landed in a construction site. Nimrod explains his origin to Batman, and then reluctantly turns himself in.
