Synopsis for "Mentors, Part 4"
Luthor warns Slade to not fail him before terminating the video call, while Sunny is worrying that they won't be able to kill Batman in 24 hours. Deathstroke assures they'll succeed, telling her to fix the Firefly suit quickly. At the Wayne Manor, a grounded Tim's requests to watch the new James Bond movie are denied by Bruce, but they suddenly notice the Bat-Signal's light in the sky while eating dinner. He arrives to find the police officers knocked out, before Deathstroke comes out to tell him he just used knockout gas after they tried stopping him from using the Bat-Signal and tells him he's going after Firefly.
While talking with Tim about Bruce suddenly taking off without telling him, Barbara finds a note in a boom warning her about a setup. Deathstroke and Batman meanwhile stop at the Tri-state dam, where Firefly apparently has placed lot of explosives. While searching, Bruce gets confronted by Firefly. He however has been noticing that their fighting style and voice are different. After knocking them out of the sky by freezing them in ice, he uncovers that someone else was pretending to he Garfield Lynns. He realizes it's a trap as Deathstroke attacks him, struggling against his Hephaestus sword which can slice something without being in contact.
Robin and Batgirl come to Batman's rescue, allowing him to set Slade's Kevlar suit on fire. As Deathstroke tries to get out of his suit, Batman knocks him out by hitting him with a fire extinguisher before dousing him. At the Batcave, Tim and Barbara learn that he was only pretending to struggle in the fight and the note left by their stalker has no fingerprints of his. Barbara tells Alfred that she found the note inside a chapter about Tri-state dam and understood that's where it was telling her to go. Bruce worries that their stalker seems to know everything about them, but they don't know why he's doing this.
