Notes

  • Batman: The Sunday Classics 1943–1946 reprints the sunday Batman and Robin comic strips originally distributed by the McClure Newspaper Syndicate in the 1940s. This volume was printed as a hardcover edition with a slipcase and as a paperback version, both published jointly by DC and Kitchen Sink Press in 1991. The book was later reprinted as a hardcover by Sterling Publishing in 2007.
  • Some stories from the Batman and Robin Sunday newspaper strip were previously also reprinted in other comic issues that were not listed as appearances of Earth-Forty in Crisis on Infinite Earths: The Compendium. This is likely due to The Compendium generally not listing duplicate publications of the same stories. For example, the reprint of the Earth-Forty story "The Second Batman and Robin Team" in Batman Annual #7 is also not mentioned in the book, while the original issue (Batman #131) is listed.
  • The following stories from the Batman and Robin Sunday newspaper strip were reprinted prior to the release of Batman: The Sunday Classics 1943–1946:
