Batman: White Knight is the continuity started in the 2017 comic book series Batman: White Knight (Volume 1), written by Sean Murphy.

History

It is an alternate Gotham City where The Joker regained his sanity and Batman becomes notorious among Gothamites as someone himself insane.

  • Murphy refers to his stories as the "Murphyverse", something also informally used by DC Comics staff according to him.[1]
  • In September 2018, he announced a follow-up to White Knight comic titled Batman: Curse of the White Knight (Volume 1), dealing with the conflict between Batman and Azrael.[2]
  • In 2020, Murphy announced that DC Comics had approved an imprint for titles focusing on characters in the universe, with books focusing on Harley Quinn, Nightwing, Batgirl, Red Hood, The Justice League, Catwoman and Superman to be written by other writers.[3]
