Synopsis for "Nora Clavicle and the Ladies' Crime Club"

At a civic luncheon in the Gotham Astoria, Commissioner Gordon is being honored for serving 25 years with the Gotham City Police Department. Also with him are Chief O'Hara, Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, and his daughter Barbara. Mayor Linseed and his wife arrive late and he gifts Gordon with a 24 karat watch and the announcement of Gordon’s resignation. He is to be replaced by Nora Clavicle, a women's rights activist, who promises that women will be an improvement over men. As her first act, she appoints Mrs. Linseed as the new chief of police despite her lack of proper experience.

Mayor Linseed reveals that the reason why he had done so in the first place was because his wife (who is an active follower of Miss Clavicle) refused to cook and clean until she appointed her police commissioner. Later, Batman and Robin get a call from the newly minded Commissioner Clavicle, who informs them that she will not be needing their services any longer and cuts the line to the batphone. Curious, Batman, Robin and (unknowingly) Batgirl, decide to investigate.

Commissioner Clavicle congratulates Chief Linseed for replacing every male member of the GCPD with female ones. As soon as Linseed leaves to check up on her fellow officers, Nora reveals herself to be a not-so-well-intentioned activist. She has something much bigger planned. She orders her henchwomen to put Operations Ransack and Disaster Insurance into action. Hoping to lure Batman, Batgirl and Robin into a trap, Angelina and Evelina decide to hold up a bank. It is also revealed that the women Chief Linseed hired are vain, inexperienced and are more interested in exchanging recipes and announcing sales. Batman, Robin, and Batgirl are informed of the robbery and with the help of the bat computer, they are able to somehow discover Clavicle’s hideout.

At the Dropstitch & Co. Warehouse, Nora holds Batgirl at needlepoint, which is very shapr and lethal. The trio are then tied into a Siamese Human Knot, where Nora reveals her ultimate plan. She intends to destroy Gotham City so that she can collect a 10 million dollar insurance. To do this, she has dispatched an army of small, but powerful wind-up mice throughout the city. After the leave, the trio, slowly, but painfully, escape the trap. Robin calls Chief Linseed to dispose of the mice, but she and the other officers are too terrified despite their mechanical nature. But Batman has an idea: they use flutes to lure the mice to Gotham Pier where they will fall over into the water. Once it is done, Batman explains that he had to channel the right frequency. Alfred, O'Hara and Gordon arrive with Nora and her assistants, having made a citizen's arrest.

Later, Gordon and O'Hara are back to their old jobs again, and just in time as well, for Penguin gives Gordon an unpleasant phone call about a Lygerian fruit fly.
