Synopsis for "Feat of Clay, Part I"

Lucius Fox meets "Bruce Wayne" in an abandoned train station. "Wayne" sets an ambush for Fox in order to steal some important documents, property of Wayne Enterprises. Fox runs but it's knocked out by a falling sign.

Batman hears the gunshots and hurries to the place. Batman interferes but the impostor posing as Bruce Wayne manages to escape before the police arrives. Fox tell the police who was his attacker and falls unconscious.

It was later revealed that the Bruce Wayne impostor was actually a horror movie actor named Matt Hagen; who is suffering from a face disfigurement and an addiction to a chemical developed by Roland Daggett. This compound allows Hagen to change his facial features in any way he desires and also covers his scarred face. He was hired by Daggett to steal those documents from Lucius Fox but he failed due to the interference of Batman, Daggett told his henchmen to kill Hagen when they see him.

Hagen decided to break into Daggett Laboratories to find more of his chemical product as he ran out of supplies. He was discovered by Daggett's henchmen and they pour an entire vat of the chemical in Hagen's face and finally they leave him inside his own car just outside the building.

Batman discovered one of the henchmen identity and learned that the police was looking for Bruce Wayne for an attempt over Fox's life. Batman chased down the thug he recognized as Bell. Batman hold him up in the air with the batwing and questioned the thug. Bell revealed nothing to Batman as he fainted in the middle of the air. The police told Batman to release the man.

Batman as Bruce decided to visit Lucius Fox in the Hospital to find the answers he needed, but at the mere sight of Bruce, Lucius panicked and called for the guards just outside his door. The police took Bruce Wayne and placed him under arrest for further investigation.

Hagen's stunt double and best friend, Teddy Lupus, was looking for Hagen in the city. He found his car just outside Daggett labs and he approached to see if Hagen was alright. Lupus touched Hagen and his hand was suddenly covered with a clay like substance. Hagen woke up and in a mirror's reflection he saw that he has transformed into a creature of clay.
