Synopsis for "Terror in the Sky"

The man-bat approached a cargo of fruits and attacked the people transporting it before leaving for home. Kirk Langstrom woke up in the middle of the night feeling distraught. His wife, Francine told him to go back to sleep but when Kirk approached the window in his bedroom, he found the carpet filled with pieces of fruits and ripped by claws. Kirk took the carpet and threw it to the trash can.

Meanwhile, the police was notified of the man-bat attacks. Batman listened their story and assumed that Kirk Langstrom was behind it all.

The next day, Francine found the destroyed carpet and went out looking for her husband. At the zoo, Langstrom was working on an antidote for the man-bat mutation. Batman arrived at the same time as Francine and both of them demanded an answer from Kirk. He told them that the mutagen was still inside him and that he was looking for a cure. Francine was upset and decided to leave Kirk once and for all. Batman took a blood sample from Kirk and told him that he would analyze it and verify if the mutagen was still in his system.

While Batman was on his way out of the zoo, he was attacked by the bat creature. Batman was taken by surprise and he received some bad hits. Batman used the Batcycle to try to distract the bat creature and thus began a hot pursuit across Gotham. Batman used the Batrope to tie the bat creature's leg to the batcycle, but the creature dragged the vehicle to the railroad tracks and it was destroyed when the train crushed it, setting the creature free to roam at will.

Batman returned to the Batcave, where Alfred tended his wounds. Alfred was sorry about the creature's escape but Bruce told him that they might have a clue looking at the Batsuit, on a spot where some bat hair was attached.

The next day, Batman went to see Kirk to tell him what he had discovered. Kirk was worried for Francine, who disappeared since the last day at the zoo. Batman told Kirk that he was cured after all and that the bat creature was someone else. Kirk was relieved and went looking for Francine as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Batman went to the Zoo to search for more clues on the new bat creature. He was confronted by Dr. March, Francine's father, who warned Batman to stay away from his experiments. Batman believed that March was the new man-bat but March revealed to Batman that his experiments might have infected Francine. Batman left March with his guilty conscience and after a while, March burned all his annotations about the man-bat experiments.

On a plane, Francine Langstrom was ready to leave Gotham behind but she wasn't feeling well. Kirk was on board and he approached Francine to told her the good news. She was glad to hear that Kirk wasn't the man bat and was willing to stay with him, when she started feeling worse. She went to the plane's restroom and she began to change into the bat creature. Francine damaged the plane, forced the door open and went out to the sky. Kirk followed her but fell down from the plane. Batman was near the plane on his Batwing and saw how Francine saved Kirk from a certain death. Batman then saved a girl from falling off the plane and shut the plane's door before chasing down Francine. Batman forced Francine to go to the top of the Gotham Bridge and there, he shot two antidotes to Francine. Batman and Francine fought for a while until the antidote worked. when Francine transformed into a human again, Batman was still recovering and couldn't help Francine from falling down. Kirk was the one who saved her and with a loving embrace, he told her that the nightmare was finally over.
