Synopsis for "Badge of Honor"

Anton Miller, an undercover detective infiltrating Rupert Thorne's mob, is discovered and captured by Thorne. Thorne uses Detective Miller's life as leverage against Commissioner Gordon, demanding that Gordon surrender whatever progress Miller has made in his investigations.

Gordon, holding himself responsible for Miller's discovery and fearing there may be a traitor elsewhere in the police department, tries to rescue Miller by himself. Though he finds Miller and overcomes several of Thorne's underlings, he is ultimately captured by Thorne, who gloats as he prepares to execute both policemen.

Thorne soon discovers, however, that Batman has already infiltrated his mansion, disguised as another gangster. While Batman attacks the rest of Thorne's men, Gordon frees himself and soon enters a Mexican standoff with Thorne, who is holding Miller at gunpoint. Gordon plays on Thorne's cowardice, and ultimately bluffs the crime boss into surrendering, ending the case without any further bloodshed.
