Synopsis for "The Last Batman Story"
While stopping a random crime, Batman is touched by Waverider, who uses his powers to look into the future of Batman. The Dark Knight witnessess how he will turn himself to the authorities after killing the Penguin and he is found guilty of murdering many of his other enemies. Eventually, the truth comes out and it is revealed that Joker was behind it all and he kills himself in the final confrontation with Batman.
Back in the present, Waverider explains that he needed to look into Batman's future as to make sure he is not the hero who would become a tyrant known as Monarch. After revealing the truth to Batman, Waverider leaves and the Dark Knight finds comfort in knowing that time is on his side.
