He spent an entire life letting this city drive his face into the pavement, and even when he could barely stand, he was fighting off injustice with a walking stick. He thought I could... I don't know. I think he thought I could be him. And he got me believing it to.. But being Batman is a struggle with no answer or ending.

Synopsis for "Gotham's Knight"
Terry brings the unconscious Beam Boonma to the ruined Batcave, where Gestalt has been taking shelter, and asks them to help her. They agree, as long as he promises to stop the Living Gotham. Gestalt examines Boonma and finds that she has been infected by millions of nanobots which allowed the Sword of Gotham to take over her body and mind, and project a hard light illusion of the Sword around her. They also find that Terry is also infected and he suggests that they have been spread through the water, meaning that likely the entire city is infected and the Sword can possess anyone. As long as they stay in the Batcave they are protected from the signal that would activate the nanites and cannot be possessed, but if they leave the Sword could take control of any one of them. As such they will all need to stay hidden in the cave until Gestalt finds a way to remove the nanites.
Three months later, Gestalt are able to remove the nanites from Boonma and revive her. Terry fills her in on what has happened and talks to her about Bruce Wayne and how being Batman feels like a struggle without ending, but she tells him that Batman isn't just the darkness, he's a symbol to people not to give up in the face of the worst odds. Terry finally comes to terms with Bruce's death and tells Beam his real name.
Gestalt gives Terry a new Batsuit, and he says it's time to get out of the cave and take the fight to the Living Gotham.
