At Robert's request, his grandson gives him online access. Soon the AI is interfacing with systems all over the city, causing a blackout that completely engulfs Gotham. Terry suits up and heads to the power plant to restart it, but in getting through its security systems, Vance's AI transfers itself to the batsuit.

Bruce hits a kill switch that paralyzes the suit, then flies out and picks Terry up in the batmobile. As soon as they leave the batcave, however, the suit sits up on its own and punches its way outside.

Bruce tries to talk him out of it, but realizing Terry's dedication to his duty's too strong, gives him the old utility belt to use. Meanwhile, Robert Vance is setting up equipment to transfer himself into the body of Bobby. Terry arrives to stop him, and in the middle of the struggle manages to spear and then electrify the batsuit, regressing Vance's AI out of existence.

In the aftermath of the ordeal, Bobby Vance sells the company rather than run it himself anymore.
