Synopsis for "Batwomen Beyond"

Commissioner Barbara Gordon is in Crown Point, investigating a drug dealing affair, when she gets captured: she manages to send a distress call to the Batcave, received by Maxine and Matt. The two are alone: both Terry and Bruce are in Tibet, dealing with the League of Assassins. Maxine decides to act personally. Meanwhile, after getting out of the Leslie Thompkins High School, a girl named Nissa talks about dealing with a professor who sold drugs to his students before coming here. After letting her friends go, Nissa wears the suit of the new Batgirl: she thinks Batman will never help places like Crown Point, the lowest of the low in terms of importance for Neo-Gotham's administration. But without Batman, she will act as its protector.

Soon, she meets Maxine who failed at sneaking up on her. Maxine tells her she's an ally and that she came here to rescue Barbara. Batgirl respects the Commissioner and wants to help, but also wants Maxine to stay out of her way, even if she is connected to the Batman. After all, Nissa says, Batman does not care about Crown Point. Maxine though tells her that while she never acted physically, she did on the web, hacking several criminal activities and informing the authorities about them. Convinced thanks to Maxine's attitude, Batgirl accept to cooperate with her. The two get into the building where Barbara is held by a team of corrupt police agents and, thanks to Nissa's prowess and Maxine's acumen, the three girls defeat their enemy.

Barbara is proud of both girls: she congratulates with Maxine as she was able to find Batgirl, a thing she failed in doing since the Brother Eye war. Then, she tells Nissa she is proud of her, and that she chose well: she's wearing the Bat symbol the right way and with her, Crown Point can hope. In the end, Nissa accepts Maxine and Barbara's help, promising to collaborate with them to give something more to Gotham and to Crown Point.
