Synopsis for "The Final Joke: Part One"

Mayor Richard Grayson is reminded by his daughter of a mission he had as Robin years ago. The Joker had taken over a train running between Gotham City and Bludhaven. He lined the train with tankers of Joker Venom and planned to detonate it in the center of the city.

Back in the future, Terry McGinnis shows his younger brother Matthew the ropes as his new Robin. They arrive at a crime scene overseen by Commissioner Barbara Gordon where a group of Jokerz have been brutally murdered. These are only a few in a string of murders, one of which is left with a note reading, "No one uses my name. No one."

Bruce Wayne debuts the Wayne Family Center of Tomorrow on the 100th anniversary of his father's birth. The event is cut short by The Joker, hijacking a train once again. Batman and Robin leap into action but aren't able to stop the train, which is laced with explosives, from destroying the Center of Tomorrow. Barbara Gordon rushes to her office, where she is met by the Joker himself.
