Synopsis for "Divide, Conquer, and Kill, Part Three"
Terry must escape as Splitt proves once again impossible to stop: the speedster is successful at taking the piece of tech he was interested in. Terry then asks for Bruce's counsel, but Matt and Mel tell him that the old man is gambling hard in a casino, a thing Bruce Wayne would never do. And when he decides to bring home a lady for some fun, telling her he will show her the Batcave, Matt and Mel all agree that this guy has something wrong. Recalling the fact Bruce went visiting Arkham, Mel decides to investigate. At the same time, the false Bruce orders A.L.F.R.E.D. to kick out the McGinnis brothers and change the security codes. The virtual assistant tries to convince him otherwise, but he cannot know he's not talking to the real Bruce.
Terry, as Batman, decides to confront him and gets taken by surprise when Bruce shots him and stuns him with a gun. Melanie is at Arkham, and she discovered that during a brief blackout, a killer known as False Face escaped, exchanging himself with Wayne. This criminal has the ability to take on the identity of anyone, leaving the original person without a conscience about who they are, that's why Bruce wasn't able to tell the guards who he was. He also was trapped inside a Promethium helmet the Asylum used to keep False Face from using his powers, an helmet he found a way out from.
After the truth comes out, and injured Terry gets to the Batcave, telling Matt he suspected that Bruce was in truth a doppelganger. Still, Batman wasn't able to stop him and now he escape, and he could be anyone. Matt does not suspect that the Terry standing side by side with him is not his brother, but False Face who took the identity of McGinnis.
