Synopsis for "Escaping the Grave: Moment of Truth"

Terry recalls how he learnt about the death of his mentor, Bruce Wayne: fighting a worldwide conflict against the cyborgs of Brother Eye, an attack on Gotham destroyed the facility where Bruce was coordinating the counter-offensive. But Terry just discovered that Bruce is alive, comatose and used by Terminal as a way to access a technology created by the genius Bruce Wayne himself: Keystone, a device able to collect any type of intel required by its user. The criminal wants to retrieve this device and use it for his own plans, telling about how he recognized Wayne in the street clinics installed after the war: Carter took Bruce and put him in a comatose state, disguising him as the original Joker to raise an army of followers, the Jokerz, who would obey and defend him while he was concentrating on his real plans.

As Terminal is telling all about his schemes to a low level thug who entered the building with him, the door to Keystone opens, but Terry is right there to welcome his foe: a fight ensues and Terminal is quickly incapacitated. But in the same room, the thug wakes Wayne up, telling him he must enjoy the show. Then, he takes a still anesthetized, but conscious Bruce and throws him down from the top of the building, calling Terry an impostor unable to laugh at a good joke. As Bruce is falling, he recognizes the voice of the thug and a look of utter shock is painted on his face. Terry catapults himself to save Bruce, who is screaming to him to leave him be and to pursue Terminal and especially his partner. Terry does not listen, saying that Max and Matt will take care of it.

As the plane that Terminal used to flee is brought down from the sky by Max, the terrible truth is discovered: the thug was only a cover-up for the true, real and alive Joker who decides to punish Terminal for using his name, beating him to death with a crowbar. Laughing like the madman he is, the clown prince of crime says that Batman will never be able to end him.
