Batman #269 is an issue of the series Batman (Volume 1) with a cover date of November, 1975.
Synopsis for "The Daily Death of Terry Tremayne"
A series of murders puzzle the Gotham City Police Department, as all the murdered people are coincidentally named Terry Tremayne. Investigating the case, Batman learns about another Terry Tremayne, a woman he now has to protect from her late fiancé's partners, who want to get a priceless Florentine box from her, and will kill one person named Terry Tremayne per day for a week until they do.
Knowing that the only permanent elements in the killings are the exotic blades, Batman interrogates Amos Janghurst, a man who collects weird blades and who was also one of Terry's late fiancé's partners. Batman is attacked by Amos, but he is able to capture the criminal and his associates, taking them to the authorities.
Afterwards, Bruce Wayne goes on a date with Terry Tremayne when another murder takes place. Bruce takes Terry back to her home and later he returns as Batman, when he confronts her for the murders. Terry is confused, but Batman explains that since he had already captured the criminals, it wouldn't have been possible for the murders to continue. When another man was killed, Batman deduced that Terry was behind the killings and that she had been using rare blades in order to frame Amos and his accomplices. Terry did all this in order to keep the Florentine Box for herself, but Batman's cunning thwarted her plans and she was arrested for her crimes.
Commissioner Gordon is satisfied with Batman solving the case, but Batman regrets having to turn to the authorities what could've been a potential romantic partner.
