Batman (Volume 3) #151 is an issue of the series Batman (Volume 3) with a cover date of October, 2024. It was published on August 7, 2024.
Synopsis for "Into The Unknown"
Batman tracks Catwoman down and recruits her to help him steal Amanda Waller's Mother Box. He has tracked the energy signature to Okinawa, Japan; and assumes it is being held on or near the US military base on the island. They fly to Okinawa posing as representatives of a PMC called "Sentryglobe". Batman, posing as executive "Mr. Blackwell" meets with the base commander and claims that Sentryglobe want to lease an isolated sector of the area controlled by the military to use as a training ground for their mercenaries. He also offers the general a fee of four million dollars for facilitating such a deal.
Meanwhile Catwoman, who was not allowed into the classified meeting, knocks out a soldier and steals his uniform to search the base. She sees the Suicide Squad getting into a jeep and realises that they must be going to guard the Box and tails them. Meanwhile the general takes "Mr. Blackwell" out to a part of the military-controlled land where they put things they want hidden. He tells Blackwell that he can have free run of the land, but there is a bunker on the site which is off limits. Batman realises that must be where the Mother Box is and switches into costume.
Catwoman follows the Suicide Squad and ends up close by to Batman. As the Suicide Squad don't actually know the bunker's exact location they have Black Alice try to sense it by magic. Alice detects the bunker and Catwoman nearby. The Squad attack her and Batman swoops in. He yells at Catwoman to find the bunker while he holds off the Squad. Catwoman finds the base and manages to hack the lock and get inside.
Batman fights Deadeye, but then he notices Clock King counting down and when he gets to zero Bizarro flies in. Bizarro, now enhanced with Brainic tech, quickly overpowers Batman, but Batman distracts him by telling him, in Bizarro-speak, that there is a prize for him in the jeep. Bizarro abandons Batman and rips the jeep apart looking for his prize. Catwoman calls him on the commlink and tells him she has found something, but it's not a Box. Batman runs into the bunker after her and finds her standing in front of a Boom Tube. He realises the Box is somewhere else and beaming its energy through the Tube.
With the Suicide Squad hot on their trail, they have no choice but to jump through the Tube. They emerge on the other side in a mausoleum with the Mother Box in a glass tube. Catwoman gets to work on opening the case and Batman investigates their surroundings. He notices that a plaque on one of the crypts says "Damita Waller", meaning they are in Waller's family tomb. Batman goes outside to see if they are in Chicago, Waller's home town, but finds that the tomb and a small area around it are surrounded by a force field with an alien landscape outside; meaning Waller moved the tomb off-planet as a getaway of last resort. Looking through the force field he sees a Czarnian wolf and realises they are on Czarnia.
Catwoman accidentally triggers a bomb on the case, and Batman is suddenly shot by a sniper on the tomb roof, revealed to be Gunsmith seemingly restored to life by Brainiac technology. Batman survives thanks to his armoured suit but Catwoman is blasted out of the tomb by the bomb and the Suicide Squad follow her out.

Notes
- The "Into The Unknown" story takes place just after the events of Absolute Power #2.
- According to this story, Damita Waller died in 2017. However, this is a major continuity error as Waller's rise to power, which is also shown in Absolute Power: Origins (Volume 1), has began at least a decade before the current events on Earth 0 after the unknotting of the timeline and the rebirth of the Multiverse.
- The "Absolute Power Plant!" story takes place during the events of Absolute Power #1.
Trivia
- Batman learned of Deadeye's relationship to Amanda Waller from Batwing who met him in Titans: Beast World: Waller Rising #1.
