Synopsis for "Lesser Gods, Part 4"
While Ra's is trying to change Sofia into a living weapon, calling her the Demon's Flame, Cass and Duke talk about Duke's fear, with the girl telling him she knows about the matter: an assassin first lesson is to learn to kill fear. Meanwhile, Jefferson tries to know the new member of the team, Kaliber, telling him he doesn't like his love about guns. Kaliber explains him that Batman wanted to give him a second chance, and the matter of it was none of Jefferson's business: they don't have to be friends, they just need to work to save a girl. Katana is also dealing with her demons, as she still hears her husband, Maseo, calling from inside her blade.
Jefferson and Batman then agree on meeting in the Bat-Cave for a debriefing, and Jefferson confronts Duke about the fact that he and Cassie will sit out of the mission to work on his recovery. The Signal respects Jefferson as its leader, and he's determined to get back in action. Batman then informs everyone about the plan: convincing Sofia to come to Gotham without engaging Ra's, and then he will deal with whatever she has become. Batman cannot go with them because the best power of Ra's is that he can turn you against yourself, and the Detective is not in his rightful state of mind to confront him. Kaliber created them false identities as weapon dealers to infiltrate them safely in the state of Khadym.
After guessing Katana had personal problems, Jefferson tells her to let him be a friend: Katana confesses him about her husband, and Jefferson promises her that he will help in saving him from whatever he's threatened, but Tatsu herself knows that Sofia has a lot less time to be saved than her husband. The team is ready, but so is Sofia: she was baptized in violence, and now her name is Babylon. She will kill all the pawns of the Batman, as the Demon orders.
