Batman vs. Ra's al Ghul (Volume 1) is a six-issue limited series, written and illustrated by the veteran creator Neal Adams (which was his last published story before his death in 2022), who co-created the character of Ra's al Ghul. The series was originally going be entitled Batman: Demigods War. It began being published in September 2019 and centres around Ra's al Ghul's attempt to secretly destroy Gotham City as well as eliminate Batman, while pretending to help them against terrorists.
The series went on a hiatus for over a year after the fourth issue's publication in February 2020, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, before returning to publication in March 2021.
