Synopsis for "The Battle for Blüdhaven, Part 5"
In the conflict with metahuman S.H.A.D.E. agents, Monolith is smashed to pieces. Firebrand and Ravager escape when Green Lantern appears and confronts the S.H.A.D.E. Agents. While the fight continues, Ravager liberates the others who are being taken into custody by ordinary SHADE agents. Major Force gets the upper hand on Green Lantern. When Major Victory steps in, Major Force literally tears him limb from limb. This causes Doll Man, the Phantom Lady) and the Human Bomb to question their allegiances. The The Teen Titans return to the fight. Regrouping after having fled from the combat, Firebrand suddenly hears a mysterious voice. The voice tells him that he must come to the Mississippi River. When Firebrand balks, the voice reveals to him a possible future where America has become a military state controlled by a single man with a metahuman army. Firebrand agrees and leaves the city. Below the streets of Blüdhaven, the Nuclear Legion and the Nuclear Family encounter the Atomic Knights, and a fight ensues. The subterranean battle erupts to the surface. Although Monolith was seemingly destroyed, he quickly reforms.
