The Big Bang was a massive gang riot on Paris Island in Dakota City that led to the creation of hundreds of Bang Babies.

History

The Tear Gas used by police officers breaking the riot up was laced with a chemical called Quantum Juice, which selectively imbued some people with superpowers, and killed the rest. The resulting chaos ended up as a massive genocide as almost every gang member in Dakota was killed by the gas, with only a few superpowered individuals walking away from the scene.
