- Get away from him, Black Lightning! I heard how you attacked Jimmy last night, but I didn't think you'd be stupid enough to try it again. You'd better pray he's all right, rat-- Because if he isn't-- I'll take you apart!

Notes
- This issue marks the first appearance of Jimmy Olsen's friend on the police force, Jim Corrigan, since Superman Family #167.
- The Comissioner of the Metropolis Police Department, Matt Kiernan, is mentioned in this issue. Commissioner Kiernan appeared in several issues of Jack Kirby's original New Gods series.
- The Cyclotronic Man is shown by flashback to be the same as the one-shot nemesis of Batman and Robin named Bag O'Bones. While the villain's powers decreased his life expectancy in his first appearance in Batman #195, his abilities have been enhanced by The 100's scientists to present no further threat to his health. His human physical appearance has also been restored by the process.
