Blackest Night: Wonder Woman (Volume 1)
Synopsis for "Blackest Night: Wonder Woman, Part Three"
Wonder Woman after having been freed from the possession of the Black Lantern Ring and becoming a Star Sapphire Corps deputy, Carol Ferris asks her to use her power in order to break others free from the black rings.
As they start freeing the others, she is forced to destroy Maxwell Lord who repeatedly keeps attacking and mocking her. There, she also encounters Mera who has gone berserk due to the Red Lantern Ring. As she tries to fight her off, Mera is dropped into a mob of the undead and becomes overwhelmed despite fighting them, making Diana to come to her rescue. Her ring is however unable to calm her.
She is thus forced to use her Lasso of Truth to find out the cause of her hate and anger, the two are able to see into the hearts of each other - Diana sees her feelings and the memories of her love with Aquaman, her playing with their son and Black Manta attacking Aquaman. Mera meanwhile sees the bond Diana shared with her mother Hippolyta, her grief over the death of her former lover Superman, her unexpressed love for Batman and her anguish over how Vanessa Kapatelis was turned into Silver Swan.
When she understood that Mera never told Aquaman that she loved him, she told her to be truthful about her feelings. When Mera asked Diana why she didn't do the same, she stated that nothing ever needed to be said and it was too late for her, but not for Mera if they win. Other lanterns then areive at the scene and Hal Jordan tells them to get ready to fight Nekron.
