- Despite his elaborate replication of pre-Civil-War plantation life, all of Mr. Yesterday's slaves are White.
- The source of Mr. Yesterday's powerful vapor is not explained, but could be some combination of volcanic gases.
- Yesterday himself is killed in a swordfight with Blackhawk.
- In his solo story, Chop Chop gets shot down, with an antiaircraft cannon.
- In the 4th story, Andre is knocked unconscious for at least the third time,[1] with a blackjack. Blackhawk is shot down for at least the fifteenth time.[2] Being a Blackhawk is dangerous.
