Notes

  • Stalin's Ambassador of Murder:
    • According to the caption over the first panel of the second page of this story, at some earlier point in Quality Universe history the Storm King destroyed at least one city, with lightning bolts. Storm King will return in Blackhawk #90.
    • The United World Court has built a museum of relics of Blackhawk Squadron victories. A similar museum would also be established, on Blackhawk Island, some time before Blackhawk #109.
    • The Blackhawks deliver a monthly report, in person, to the United World Court.
  • The World Destroyer:
    • Russlo's national emblem is an Arm and Hammer. It is prominently featured on the national flag and on military vehicles.
    • "World Destroyer" = two rocket-powered giant tanks dragging an enormous length of chain between them. It creates a swath of demolition, about two city blocks wide, at high speeds. The chain can be electrified.
    • Somewhere inside the borders of Russlo, wherever it ran out of fuel, the "World Destroyer" is still intact.
  • Guerrilla, the Unknown Hero
    • Blackhawk speaks and understands the Shangshi dialect.
  • Also featured in this issue of Blackhawk was:
    • "The City Under the Sea" (a one-page text story by an unknown writer)
