- For the second time in their careers, the Blackhawk aviators accept the roles of Cabinet Ministers,[1] in a small democratic nation. Blackhawk becomes Vice President, thus becomes President when President Vallin is kidnapped. Other cabinet positions are not specified.
- This issue's Chop Chop story is reprinted in Blackhawk #77.
- Killers of the Kremlin
- Chop Chop catches a thrown bomb, outfielder style, and lobs it back to its throwers just before it explodes.
- Danya's submarine crew was captured alive.
- Per page 6, panel 3, Andre, Chuck, Olaf, and Stanislaus all get head-konked unconscious in the same melee. This is Andre's fifteenth concussion,[2] Chuck's seventh,[3] Olaf's ninth,[4] and Stan's sixth concussion.[5] Being a Blackhawk is dangerous.
- World-Wide Manhunt
- The Blackhawks attack and sink a conventional Soviet warship, and a super-weaponized Soviet space station. These seem like acts of war, but World War III does not break out.
- Also appearing in this issue of Blackhawk was:
- "Blackhawk's Challenge" (text story)
