Notes
- Dreaded Brain Beam'
- The nation, or region, or district, of "Berentia" appears on a map of Eastern Europe, on the first panel of the second page. None of the villages visited by the Blackhawks or by Death Eye are in Berentia, and it is not mentioned again.
- End of Blackhawk Island
- One Lockheed XF-90 interceptor is destroyed.
- Blackhawk Island is devastated by an artificial tidal wave. It seems from the dialogue of the Soviet villains that, at this time, they do NOT know where Blackhawk Island is located. At earlier times, they have known this.
- Blackhawk Island is rebuilt with improvements including a) an automated radar-directed anti-aircraft cannon battery, b) a set of jet catapults, and c) a "super escape raft".
- Doctor Genius developed a chemical artillery shell which, when fired into the upper atmosphere, created the conditions for the formation of a tidal wave.
- Race of Doom
- Chop Chop gets at least one bullet wound. He has been shot at least twice before this.[1]
- Hendrickson gets head-konked unconscious with a rifle butt. This is his sixth concussion.[2]
- Andre is shot in the back. This is his fifth shooting.[3]
- Being a Blackhawk is dangerous.
- Also featured in this issue of Blackhawk was:
- "Operation Baby" (text story)
