Somewhere in Central Europe, the Blackhawk Squadron wipes out a cache of Soviet munitions, belonging to some Red guerrillas operating in that region. On their way back home, flying over a corner of Poland, Stanislaus sets his jet onto auto-pilot, and bails out.

    • Vampira's Bat-Winged Raiders, and their pressurized flying suits, are captured by the Blackhawks. Unlike her henchmen, Vampira was not seen to be captured on-panel. But she hasn't returned in any later stories.
  • Hitler's Daughter
    • In a deceptive ploy, Hendrickson's fellow Blackhawks fake shooting him down, by shooting some real bullet holes into his Lockheed jet. He then fakes a crash landing by crashing onto the ground. This was Hendrickson's second plane crash.[1]
    • Hendrickson carries a miniature tape recorder in his boot heel.
  • Revolt of the Slave Workers
    • The Blackhawks brought along a supply of Truth Serum on their incursion to Poland.
