Synopsis for "The Anteater"

Notes

  • "The Anteater" is a Battle Album feature.
  • Historical inconsistencies in the two stories:
    • Uniform insignias and uniforms were inaccurate. The main characters were privates, but armed with weapons not issued to privates. The Panzer was created in 1941. Rommel was actually a Colonel attached to Hitler's bodyguard. [1]
    • It is difficult to define what kind of media is being played in the first story. LP record was created in 1948. It can't be V-Disc either (created in 1943, and Poland was invaded in 1939).
    • "Bakerei" (story page 5) is not the Polish word to bakery: it is "piekarnia".
    • Attila was not ruling the Huns in 433, only in 434 until 453.

Trivia

  • Blitzkrieg (Volume 1) has the distinction of being the only DC Comics war-era series to present stories from the perspective of the Nazi officers and soldiers.
