Kru-El's existence began as a way to correct a continuity error involving Dr. Xadu. Xadu was historically one of the first three Kryptonian criminals sentenced to the Phantom Zone and was featured in the very first appearance of the Phantom Zone.
When someone at DC realized that Dr Xadu couldn't have been in the Phantom Zone to meet Jimmy in Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen Vol 1 62 — as he was exiled to the red sun planet Exon — a few months later in Superboy Vol 1 100, their solution was to create a doppelgänger named Kru-El, and then recaption Xadu as Kru-El in Superman Family Vol 1 178's reprint of SPJO #62.
But wouldn't a simpler solution have been to contrive some way for Xadu to return from exile (...sooner. He returned ten years later in Acti…

Superboy is my favorite character. It probably stems from watching him on the Young Justice TV show. I liked how he was always really strong and cool. I always loved watching and reading him. No, I'm not obsessed. A few years ago, I was inspired to create a Fandom account when I read his wiki page here and it was full of blank sections. I was always curious about what happened to him after the New 52 ended and the wiki didn't give me answers. So I was inspired to research myself. So, recently with all the free time I've had lately, I decided to write about him. So here we are now. I will probably edit his futures end page soon, along with the Bar Torr and Impulse pages. I hope to answer the questions people like me used to have about him.Read more >

To me, the DC Universe is way to packed. So this is how I would handle the matter. By killing-off several characters but keeping others live. And here they are:
- Bruce Wayne
- Dinah Drake
Black Canary (band)
- Oliver Queen
John Diggle Emiko Queen
- Diana of Themyscira
Ugh that teen titans wikia is so annoying.

For some time now, DC's 'Contact Us' page has read:
"If you have questions about script or art submissions, we are not currently accepting any unsolicited submissions."
This has struck me as rather 'cold.' The motive for such a categorical refusal is understandable enough - what reader hasn't imagined a story arc for their favorite character(s) that they thought deserved DC's consideration? That said, a cursory glance over the extensive archives of fan-fiction can help us all appreciate the publisher's due scrutiny before distributing the overwhelmingly under-developed majority of these!
But shouldn't some happier middleground be pursued? Shouldn't we prefer a few hairbrained arcs slipping through the cracks to a few gems going unnoticed? How…Read more >
