Synopsis for "Scarab War: Chapter Six"

Ever since he was possessed by Kha-Ef-Re, the Blood Scarab, Javier has been fighting to regain control of himself. Enraged by Victoria Kord's ray, the Blood Scarab prepares to attack Jaime Reyes. Meanwhile, Khaji-Da is still rebooting from the blast. Jaime’s allies keep battling the Blood Scarab’s minions one by one, trying to hold him off before he can strike Blue Beetle.

Dynastes is the first to charge in but is quickly neutralized. Nitida follows, landing a strong blow on the Blood Scarab, but she too is taken down. Starfire swoops in, saving Nitida from certain death, and engages in a fierce battle with the enemy. She manages to hold him off just long enough for Jaime and Khaji-Da to activate "Legado Mode."

While Gimmix showcases her skills against the minions, Blue Beetle re-enters the fight. Starfire finishes off the remaining minions surrounding the other allies.

As the battle between Blue Beetle and the Blood Scarab intensifies, Javier gradually begins to regain control of his body, while Khaji-Da takes over Jaime. Convinced that he must destroy his eternal enemy, Khaji-Da seizes an opening. But just as he is about to strike, Javier fully regains control. Despite Jaime’s desperate pleas, unable to stop what’s happening, Khaji-Da impales Javier, killing the Blood Scarab in the process.

Jaime collapses in grief, mourning the man and the irreversible action he has just witnessed. Starfire approaches to comfort him, but suddenly, a bright flash surrounds Jaime. Khaji-Da detects high levels of tachyon energy, and before anyone can react, Jaime disappears right before his allies' eyes.
