Blue Beetle (Volume 3) was published by Charlton Comics from June of 1967 until November of 1968. It featured the demise of Dan Garrett, the first Blue Beetle, and the debut of Ted Kord as the second Blue Beetle. This would be the last Blue Beetle related project handled by Charlton. DC Comics bought the rights to the Blue Beetle, along with a number of other Charlton heroes, in 1983.

Modern Comics reprinted issues #1 and #3 of this series in 1977.
