Blue Beetle (Volume 6) with a cover date of October, 1987.
Synopsis for "The Way The Brawl Bounces!"
On Pago Island, Dan Garrett was called back to life by the Blue Beetle Scarab and was told to find and slay the one who has "stolen" the name Blue Beetle. As Ted was about to leave the Kord Industries headquarters, Melody confronted and lashed out at him before introducing him to Randall Truman. After Ted left and Randall went to run errands, she learned from Angie that Jeremiah was missing while Overthrow began his attack on the company.
Ted was late for meeting Fisher and was asked to help him imprison criminals who escaped the justice system due to technicalities. When Ted saw an explosion from Kord Industries, he rushed back inside and confronted Overthrow as Blue Beetle. When Overthrow flew away, Blue Beetle used his Bug to restrain him only to learn that there was an undetonated plasma bomb in Kord Industries. Blue Beetle dropped Overthrow and disposed of the bomb before returning to Kord Industries as Ted Kord and learning that Jeremiah was missing. Meanwhile, Cornelius was interrogating Jeremiah in France regarding the stolen Compound XD-3. Murray was welcome to Statistical Occurrences Limited while Slate learned the contents of File 13 and attempted to end the experiment although he learned that their subject had escaped.
As Ted continued his search for Jeremiah, the original Blue Beetle appeared on the street of his penthouse and was searching for the "thief who stole his good name."
