Blue Beetle (Volume 6) with a cover date of March, 1988.
Synopsis for "A Question of Time!"
Blue Beetle was in the wreckage of his Bug as a Tyrannosaurus Rex closed in on him. Earlier, he was in the JLI HQ, discussing the final outcome of the Millennium affair with his teammates. After his meeting, he returned to Chicago in his Bug and encountered strong winds and flew into a wall of light surrounding the city before crashing and waking up near the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Blue Beetle got the Bug to fly again and fled from the Tyrannosaurus Rex and discovered an automated mining complex with the concentration of the same energy that made up the wall of light.
In a chateau outside of Frankfurt, Germany, Dekan Drache gathered the world's most influential manipulators and debated Cornelius' proposition to activate Agent Axis, rejecting it although he claimed that they would regret the decision. Chronos, who was inside of the complex, sent pterodactyls to confront the Bug although he lost control over them. Then, Chronos fired a beam that devolved the Bug and caused it to crash.
Blue Beetle woke up inside of an hourglass and Chronos explained to him that after studying geology in Belle Reve, he built the automated mining complex and used it to bathe Chicago in a geochronal field in order to acquire and make a fortune from technetium. Then, Blue Beetle attempted to break out of the hourglass before Chronos destroyed it with explosive watch hands. Chronos attacked Blue Beetle with a laser that destroyed the laboratory's equipment, causing it to start to collapse. Chronos refused to leave and still wanted the technetium while Blue Beetle escaped in his Bug before the geochronic field collapsed and was able to return to 1987 Chicago. However, Chronos was still in prehistoric times.
