Blue Beetle (Volume 6) with a cover date of April, 1988.
Synopsis for "Don't Get Mad, Get Even!"
Blue Beetle burst into the Place, a privately-funded research facility in Chicago's North Side, and attacked the Madmen, who were on bail before they subdued him and unsuccessfully attempted to unmask him. Blue Beetle broke free and defeated the Madmen before the police and Max Fisher arrived and arrested the gang.
Although Max claimed that they had unfinished business, Blue Beetle left in his Bug and returned to his fortress where he changed back to Ted Kord and went to his office. When Melody walked into his office, he hallucinated seeing one of the Madmen's faces on her and he stepped outside for a "little fresh air", much to her annoyance. Along the Saint Lawrence Sea, Carapax the Indestructible Man, who survived his previous encounter with Blue Beetle and Fisher, was causing earthquake-like vibrations.
Back in Chicago, a man asked Ted for directions to the Art Institute, although he was frightened when he imagined the man with the face of one of the Madmen. He hallucinated other people on the streets with the faces of Madmen while back at Kord Industries, a man walked past Angie to talk to Melody Case. After sunset, Blue Beetle visited Max at the Chicago Metropolitan Police Headquarters before visiting Farley Fleeter in Cook County Jail and with Fisher's help, tricked him into revealing the location of the antidote for the neuro-toxin that made him hallucinate earlier.
The following morning, Ted greeted Angie before finding his father Thomas sitting in his office seat and claiming that he wanted to retake Kord Industries.
