Synopsis for "Secrets, Part I of II"

As Jaime Reyes waits for Paco to arrive to get him to the Posse a man asks him to stop probing him. The man explains he was talking to Jaime's scarab, and that he is simply a stranger. The man quickly lost interest after he discovers that Jaime isn't the one he was looking for. As he leaves he tells the boy that he will lead him to the one he seeks. As Paco and Damper arrive at the scene Jaime discovers the man was hidden in an invisible spectrum nor can others hear the Scarab speaking. As they cross the border to the Posse hideout hidden in Damper's invisible damping field.

Nearby at Le Petit Monde restaurant Tia Amparo has a talk with her niece Brenda, worried about her relation with the one year missing Jaime Reyes.

Knowing that his target is alone the Diviner calls in the aid of the Bottom Feeder, a big hunchbacked man. To "rescue" a baby girl from the Posse hideout and bring it to Warehouse 13 unharmed. With the location impressed in his mind by the Diviner the Bottom Feeder eagerly starts his "holy" mission.

At the hideout Jaime is introduced to the members of the Posse, but learns that Probe was taken away by the crime lord La Dama last year after the scarab put her into the hospital. Then Bonita accuses Jaime of taking her kid and attacks him. But as Jaime was with the Posse all this time it is quickly dismissed. Suddenly learning he can track people by DNA and by mixing their parents DNA string he is able to track the baby. As the Blue Beetle Jaime discovers that the Bottom Feeder is a lunatic and attempts to kill baby Alina for being "the child of a witch" and sees the Blue Beetle as an angel send down to kill him and escort him to heaven. The heavy tattooed man takes of with the child (saving the child from the blue monster), regardless now Jaime can fight the Zombie undistracted. After a short fight Jaime has to stop his scarab as it almost kills his opponent by feeding on its life energy. The Zombie falls into the river only to discover that his fight was filmed by the local news, now everyone knows the existence of the 3rd Blue Beetle.

From this issue on, the Scarab's language can be translated using a substitution cipher. Each symbol in the Scarab's language represents a different letter in the English alphabet. The Scarab uses no capital letters or punctuation marks, so these have been put in where applicable. The Scarab does, however, use abbreviations.

Applying the cipher to the Scarab's language in issues #1-#4 results in gibberish.
